Biography: He was born in 1965 in Belgrade. He completed his studies at the School of Medicine in Belgrade in 1990, with an average grade of 8.93. He has been working at the Cardiology Department of the University Children’s Hospital in Belgrade since 1991. He passed the specialist exam in pediatrics in December 1995 with “Honors and Special Distinction.” He defended his master’s thesis on “Prenatal Diagnosis of Congenital Heart Diseases” in 1997. In July 2007, he defended his doctoral thesis titled “Echocardiographic Assessment of Diastolic Function of the Fetal Heart.” In January 1998, he was appointed as an assistant professor at the School of Medicine in Belgrade, Department of Pediatrics, and in 2009, he became an associate professor. He was a member of the Executive Board of the first Center for Continuous Medical Education at the School of Medicine in Belgrade, established in 2003. In 2009, he was elected as a member of the editorial board of the journal “Medicinska istraživanja” (Medical Research), founded by the School of Medicine in Belgrade. He is a member of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the Association for European Pediatric Cardiology (AEPC). From 2001 to 2010, he served as the head of the Education and Professional Development Service at the University Children’s Hospital. So far, he has published over 200 papers in international and domestic journals, as well as in international and domestic scientific conferences. He is the author or co-author of several chapters in various books and textbooks.
